Default Faded and I can't find him on the R308 Tattoo Orbit checklist.

Approaching this one with some humor. The card is incredibly faded and I can't find him on the 1933 R308 Tattoo Orbit black and white checklist. Any help is appreciated. Looks like a New York Giant and I think I can make out "Charles" at the bottom, but there is a possibility of error.

I found a Huggins + Scott 2012 auction lot with this mystery card. Based on the lot listing it appears to have been card #184, because all of the other 19 R308 cards they list correspond to known players in the set. After first checking into it a bit, I thought it might be Charles 'Chick' Fullis, who was with the Giants in 1932 and was traded away in December of that year, but it does not appear like him (Fullis photo below), and then finally I spotted this Fullis R308 card on the net (also below), which utilizes the black and white photo of Chick I shared, so a definite no go.

Calling all faded baseball glory photo experts!

Brian

207 Charles "Chick" Hafey

Looks like this image with the NN of Cincinnati elevated on the jersey and the faint outline of his glasses on the card.

Was just coming on to say there is only one "N" in "Giants" so it has to be Cincinnati. John one upped me and solved the whole problem!

That is how faded the card is in that I couldn't make out an "N". The card is actually second from the left in that Huggins and Scott auction lot (my apologies, Brian). What further threw me is that this is Hafey without his glasses.

with some photo manipulation you can actually see his last name and read the first couple letters, also the rims of his glasses become slightly more visible.

Here's the gallery from CardTarget. Still missing three images. Hafey is the last subject.
