Default Need man cave BASEBALL CHAIR.. Boston area

I just sold our treadmill to open up space for a new “Card Cave” baseball chair and am wondering if anyone in the Boston area might have one they are looking to sell.

I have searched a bit online for baseball or baseball glove chairs that might fit the need - funny that most I see are made for kids (my wife finds that kind of telling!) but am looking for a larger, chair that looks like a baseball glove or even a large cutout shaped baseball.

I connected with a seller here a few months back but his baseball glove chair was from out of the area so shipping costs and logistics would just be untenable.

I already have 2 sweet Fenway park seats in the cave (thanks for a fellow Net54 member here who lives locally) so I thought that I might try again to land a glove or ball chair to replace the old treadmill

Here’s the cave… so far

Thx for any leads

Jeff

Hi. I can't help you with the Baseball Chair, but if you can't find one, you might figure out the kind of chair that, say, Branch Rickey liked to use, and I'd get one like it.

The large “Joe” oversized glove chair is tough to find and in high demand. It would not be cheap. You see them at auction every once in a long while, but they are more collector pieces.

I haven't seen any other larger ones. I have a glove / ball chair for my son that isn’t necessarily child sized, but isn’t necessarily comfortable and something I’d want to relax in. Good luck with your hunt.

One of these would be cool if you like a more antique look. They typically go for about half of what the "Joe" Chair sells for...

I think they did a "remake" of the Joe chair. Probably not near the quality, but still might be worth a look. That chair is cool though

Thx for the ideas and leads… that “Joe” chair is awesome (and way out of my price range!&#128546

Any idea on where I might find info on the knock-off version?

Thx again, all.

Cool room Jeff. I'm not sure if you're still looking for a chair but I came upon this listing today:

https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item...m_content=item

I'm in no way associated to the seller or the auction company....so I can't speak for them. But it seemed to be the sort of thing you were looking for.

I believe the Red Sox were selling locker room chairs before the lockout but had to take them off the MLB Auctions site due to MLBPA rules. Once the lockout is over, check the Red Sox page on MLB Auctions for them again.

Jeff,

Have you tried checking out the big antique shop in Lawrence Mass. ? It's called Canal Street Antique Mall. It's at 181 Canal st. Lawrence Mass. 978-685-1441. It's in one of the old shoe factories.

I have not… are you suggesting them because they sometimes carry theme furniture like this?

Thx for the suggestion, Dave

There are an absolute ton of modern versions of the Joe available out there from Rawlings to Home Depot depending on your price range.
