Default Mickey Mantle autograph? Help

Hey Team,
I’m ran into this Mickey Mantle jersey today with a signature. It was spotted at a resale non profit organization that donates to children schools. The jersey was donated in a wealthy city in NJ by a widow. It was not authenticated but worth a gamble in my eyes. Plus if it’s not authentic the money is going to a good cost. The jersey might be a replica as you know, but the signature is the important part. I am hoping to buy it tomorrow based on opinions for my collection. I would really appreciate your opinions. I crossed out organization name . Thanks

A nice jersey ruined with a fake signature. Donate to the charity but know that the autograph is bad so destroy it if you win it.

I've not tried it myself, but I've read that plenty of folks have had success removing bad autographs from jerseys.

I don't know what material that jersey is, but I've had good luck using white vinegar to remove ink stains from linen.

I’ve had luck with hairspray as well. You add it on and then scrub. Use that method whenever I inadvertently get pen on my shirt. Not sure how it would work with set in ink though.

Before you try all those remedies. I would take it to my local cleaner and see what they say.
Is the auction house removing it from the auction?
