Default Let's see your pictures of your favorite players and their wives

I thought it would be fun to show pictures of your favorite players and their wives.
Here is one that I own that I really like:

Dizzy and Daffy Dean and their wives December, 1934.
This photo was taken 3 days after Paul and his wife got married.
1934 was the year that the Cardinals became "The Gashouse Gang" and won the World Series, defeating the DET Tigers. Dizzy and Daffy supplied 49/95 wins in 1934.

Paul Dean pitched a no-hitter in the 2nd game of a D/H on 9/21/34.
Dizzy won game 1 of the D/H and famously stated "If I knew Paul was going to throw a no-hitter today, I would have thrown one too!"

I don't own this, but it's my favorite picture of a favorite player and his wife. I've met Rich Rollins and he's a super nice guy. I love this picture.

As seen in the 1972 Phillies yearbook. Possibly the greatest picture ever taken.

Those are a couple of serious 'Fros!
One time when Oscar Gamble was a member of the Cleveland Indians they were pulling into the parking lot in Anaheim in their team bus.
The "Big A" marquee stated that Nolan Ryan would be pitching that night.
Oscar Gamble stood up on the bus and announced to the team "A good night today would be an 0-4 and not get hit!"

Classic!

“The 1962 season was also memorable for Rollins outside of baseball. “I was rooming in Minneapolis in ’62. One o’clock at night, I get this knock on the door. I’m up reading a book; I’m the only one in the apartment and this gal is at the door, in tears, and her father had just been killed in an automobile accident. She just needed someone to talk to. She knocked on the door, and we went out for coffee. We got back at 3 o’clock in the morning, and that was the first time I met her.”8 On February 9, 1963, Rollins and former United Airlines stewardess Lynn Maher of Newport Beach, California, were married. They had three sons and three daughters, who presented them with 11 grandchildren.”

Not my favorite player but can't let Rich Rollins and Don Rudolph be the only ones with hot wives. The second photo is of Ruth Ryan taken with other Mets wives in 1968. There used to be a 1973 wire photo of Jerry Reuss and his newlywed wife on eBay but unfortunately I didn't keep a scan and I can't find it now. She was smokin'.

Cliff,
Ruth Ryan was indeed a cute one.
She also was a TX state tennis champion. Great athlete as well...

BTW, she encouraged Nolan to stick with pitching, believing in his talent early in Nolan's career when he was ready to toss in the towel while a member of the Mets.
Her steadfast support and belief in Nolan was definitely a major factor in him having the success that he did over his 27 year HOF career.

Steve Garvey with his wife Cyndy. A real stunner to say the least.
