You have a baby faced Mike McCormick there in a New York Giants jersey. He was a late season call up in 1956. With Don Larsen (1956 WS pefect game) included, too, I imagine it was either an after-season shot from 1956 or possibly from some time in 1957. Billy Pierce was pitcher of the year for both of those seasons, and Kell was an Oriole in 1956 and 1957. Harry Simpson was moved to the Yanks during the '57 season. Perhaps with Maz (called up in mid 1956), Newk (1956 MVP and Cy Young Award winner) and the others, there is some nugget of truth that will give an exact year? If that's Herb Score next to the Mick (Triple Crown in 1956), he was ROY in 1955 and led the league in strikeouts for both the 1955 and 1956 seasons, and was an all star during both of those campaigns.

It may also have correlation with the Broadway show Damn Yankees which ran from May of 1955 to May of 1957. Note the action happening with the person in the Washington Senators uniform. That was the team in Damn Yankees.

Edit: Come to think of it, the guy in the Senators uniform looks an awful lot like Tab Hunter, who starred in the 1958 movie version of Damn Yankees...

Players not allowed to wear their spikes on studio floor. Some came prepared, others... got slippers.

Not really snapshots, but please check out my photography auction! Tons of wire photos which may not be very exciting, but a number of type 1's as well. And nothing above a $10 start price!

Thanks Hank. They appear to be mostly from mid to late 1940’s. There are several others photos in the group. I believe they came from player Earl Taborn.

Man, some seriously awesome stuff in this thread...thanks everyone for posting.

Even though this snapshot is overexposed but, hey...I'll take it. Finally got my very first Ty Cobb snapper! Shows the Georgia Peach in his final season with the Tigers. July 16, 1926 at Yankees Stadium.

Thanks to fellow net54 board member Gary Scamehorn, I was just able to add this great vintage snapshot of no-hit pitcher "Bullet" Joe Bush clowning around during Spring Training with the Red Sox in 1919.

This thread needs an update!

Here's a signed snap of red I picked up recently.
And I believe a rookie era snap of Bill Bruton.

Big fan of these items mainly because often times they`re unique. Here`s a couple featuring Lou Gehrig. One, with Lou Grove and Maranville seeming to wave from a ship and the second Lou taking B P during (I think) the 1931 Tour of Japan.

Sorry to hear.
In loo of your sold world series snaps, Here’s one of mine I got recently. Outfield snap of game 4 of the ‘44 all st louis world series. Stan had a great game that day going 3-4 with a long homer to right.

Default Lou Gehrig Autograph Snapshot

Here is my favorite from the past. Purchased from a major auction house in 2008 for $3100 including buyer premium. Sold at the National that same year for $5000. Wish I still had it. Probably $20K in today's market. It was PSA/DNA encapsulated and graded 9 for the autograph.

Great stuff fellas! Here's a one of my faves of The Schnozz at his old stomping grounds Crosley Field.

I purchased a large collection of snapshots quite a few years ago from a long time photographer. Many of them were signed. Here is a sampling.
