Same thing for me, I just discovered this forum and was excited about it and thought I had done something stupid trying to login and register.

Hope it stays up and running.

Sometimes stuff just happens with the ISP or access provider. Kind of like what happened with Huggins and Scott except I'm guessing that the H&S thing had more to do with technical difficulties that the volume of hits they received on closing day for the auction That's not an H&S thing, that's just an overwhelming demand for service that the access provider couldn't handle. Usually, net enterprises will do site maintenance in the wee hours of the AM to limit the amount service disruption they cause. Lets tell Leon we want to be refunded for the time the site was not available to us... oh yeah, this is free and Leon is an indentured servant to us... sucker...

I think something is still wrong with Net54. I'm not seeing any of the ads, the background design or the Old Cardboard link. Anyone else not seeing what I'm not seeing???

You are correct on all accounts.....every now and then the gremlins get the best of Net54. I am down just like everyone else. Of course I have no control over what net54 does for their operations. I just hope they keep paying their electric bill ....

Nothing showing up for me Leon....I wonder if it's just people using Firefox?

I'm guessing that Leon tripped over one of the ad banners and kicked out the plug....but it's just a theory.

Something was messed up. I just moved my computer and tried logging on several times with nothing. I rebooted thinking it was on my end and now everything seems to be working including the links.

All major site go through down times. Sometimes it's a glitch, sometimes it's intentional for maintenance. Earthlink, PayPal and eBay have maintenance down times. If it lasts only an hour or two once in a while, it's probably no big deal. As you can imagine, it's tough keeping a site up to date with the latest software and features while the site is live 24 hours with millions of users. It's like changing a tire on a moving car. Though usually when a site is down to maintenance you will see a notice telling you so.
