For men of your ilk, this will probably be pretty easy, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. Name this player. Earlier in his career, he appeared on Topps regular issue cards four years in a row, each with a different team. Not such a big deal you say? Well, I say that late in his career, he appeared on regular issue Topps cards FIVE years in a row, each with a different team (and none of those teams were the same as the four mentioned earlier). Oh... and here's the kicker: he's a Hall of Famer! (as a player, not as a manager, not as a broadcaster, not as an ump...). Of course, for full credit, I'd want the years and corresponding teams this guy represented those nine years. You're on the clock.

How cards of Hall of Fame relief pitcher, Hoyt Wilhem, always seemed to have him sporting yet another new team’s uniform each season.

Hoyt is the answer to one of my favorite trivia questions.

Who is the last HOFer to hit a home run in his first at bat in the big leagues? And it was his only homer in his career!!

Earlier Earl Averill had also done it. They are the only two.

Ha. Hoyt was from Huntersville, NC - the town nextdoor to my hometown, and where I went to high school. My scoutmaster was Hoyt's cousin, and his son who was one of my best friends had an autographed '54 Topps Hoyt. I also traded cards in junior high school with a Justin Wilhelm - who I believe was either Hoyt's grandson or grand-nephew. NC rural communities can be a very small world.
