Default Steiff Stuffed Toy Animals Question - Pics Up Now

Hey all. Does anyone know any dealers (other than ebay), collectors or buyers of vintage Steiff stuffed animals? My wife has some that she is considering selling and would like a more direct option than ebay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony

I had one when I was a kid of a small polar bear. At least I think it was a Steiff. If you have one that is a small polar bear, I would be interested in buying it.
Thanks.

Check online for teddy bear shows. They have / had them like card shows. I know because I took my wife to one outside of Baltimore sometime in the 1990's. She has never been with me to a card show though. And that's a good thing!

just did a quick looksie on worthpoint and prices are all over the place. some of the puppets have sold recently as low as $20-$40 and then some older mohair ones in the few hundreds.

Some seem to be "retired" which sell for more...some are special editions which sell for more.

There are lots of them being sold on ebay and this is probably a good avenue to sell.

They do seem to have decent value for the most part.

Check the 1980s price books to see what they used to sell for before the internet. They were highly valued, even before beanie babies.

If you wanted to avoid eBay, this woman seems to broker collections and looks to have a pretty solid history doing it - https://www.mysteifflife.com/need-to-sell-a-collection

Your right that eBay is probally best call for the gold button years of steiff aniamals/ puppets. There are some good doll/toy auctions that you could consign to. But know they are in great shape they are not rare like the stuff from 1st half century. Good luck with selling.

A recent pickup of mine for resale purpose is this c1910 13" split face, blue eyed, all origainal steiff mohair boy, jointed doll with only one gaither shin guard that also has 4 extra Steiff button ( never seen another shoe like it).
I'm also actively trying to find the best possible auction house or outlet to consign. Any interest or information anyone has please PM me.

Well there’s a let down, sounds like you are stuck with eBay which would be worst case for me.
