Default Packers pennant

Everything about this looks wrong and Jon doesn't generally have great photos. Looks like it was homemade. Looks like cloth both pennant and piping.

Good eye Jason. Upon zoom, definitely looks arts and crafts.

That looks like a large banana peel on the pennant. It must have been made in Chicago.

I think it's authentic, but likely trimmed as evidenced by the jagged borders. Looks like a haphazard scissors job.

I would also bet it was run through the washer/dryer at some point. That would explain the cracking to the graphics and the uneven + severe shrinkage (with apologies to George Costanza).

If you look closely at the graphics, they have an uneven green border around them. They definitely look hand cut. I have this pennant and the graphics on mine have no green border.

It's a pretty impressive job though. Could it be a prototype?

Not authentic. This came from the same guy (not the current seller) who had a fugazi Dallas Texans pennant that I bought and returned a year or two ago. Same construction.

See Posts 4132-4135 on the Pennant thread … they followed the posts about the Texans pennant.

Yeah, you guys are right. I blew it up and looked again, and yes, the "outline" is definitely a tell-tale sign that it's fake. Thanks for enlightening me!

Too bad... Someone will get taken on this one.

The current seller does elude to it being different. But it can’t possibly be of the period, even if homemade (which it clearly is). No one would go through all that trouble back in 1944 or whenever.

To Jon’s credit, he pulled the pennant.
