Definitely overpaid for this, but one this nice comes up very rarely, and it's the only baseball card that shows a pitcher winning 40 games on the back stats to my knowledge:

Default B18 Hank Gowdy (Dark brown infield)

Excited to add this tough dark brown infield Hank Gowdy 1914 B18. Also see attached a scan of a lighter brown version.

Just need the red infield to complete my run.

My newest Wagner arrived today. Was super nervous about this when I bought it. I wasn't sure if it was going to be a great buy or one of those "what were you thinking" moments. As you can see it is attached to a backing so I wasn't sure how it was attached, if it was skinned, could the backing be removed, etc. Luckily, one corner is already detached from the backing and you can see that the back is intact and it appears it is only held to the backing at the corners with a drop of glue. Any recommendation for getting the other corners unglued without too many issues?

Nice M110 Wagner DJ. I always liked the look of this issue. This Wagner qualifies to belong in the "Definitely Less than T206" category from that current thread (to do a little cross-pollination of threads).

My first "higher" grade T206 card. Love the night background.

Until the last month, I was exclusively a post-war guy who owned one T206.

Now I'm up to about 14/520, including the jewel of such a small T collection (a beat up Mathewson portrait). And all from this forum. So I blame the people here

From Heritage last night. Virgil Garvin played 2 games for NYAL in 1904. He only appeared in W600 and E107 so had to pay nosebleed $ for this really nice PSA 4.5
Would be nice if they weren't put in crooked...

Hard to follow that Brown Lennox (what a beaut!), but I'm very happy to have snagged this highest PSA graded Cycle 460 Herzog for my back run. Won this last night from Sterlings! The rare, put one bid in yesterday and it stuck!

Was chasing a Black Lenox as well from Heritage, but could really only afford to tackle one at this time.

Great pickups as usual, Ryan. I also thought the Plow Cobb went low. I don't follow this card, but I think you got a great deal there.

Those W600s last night were amazing. I'd love to know who outbid me on the Burkett. It's the #1 card on my wantlist, but it went for about $34K (plus tax) in miserable condition.

I won this beauty last night, a Type 1 McGraw. Cards of McGraw as a player are REALLY tough and this one is special.
Trivia question: Which three players are at the top of the career OBP list? Most would guess Ruth and Williams but a close number three is McGraw.

Congrats Jay. I have the exact same McGraw, except listing him as a manager. I almost made a run for your "infielder" version. Glad it's going to a good home.

Thanks Paul. If it was a manager version I would have passed. That said, a type 4 manager version in worse shape went for $20,000 more.

FYI one thing people should be aware of who might have gotten PSA graded W600's last night(or anywhere else), the holders are pressed down very tightly, especially on the slightly thicker and textured surface type 4's. Many of the cabinets have shifted during mailing/shipping and were stuck to the front of the holder, then shifted, thus peeling the top layer of stock off on the edges.

DO NOT TRY TO TAP THEM BACK IN PLACE OR YOU RISK FURTHER DAMAGE.

They really need to be either reholdered with the mylar insert or freed entirely.

If you look as scans you can see where the cabinet originally rested and left traces of it's stock, which resulted in bare areas on the borders when it moved.

Are there any other cabinet issues that have this problem with the PSA slab? Thanks for the forewarning!

Not that I have seen. The type 4 W600's seem to be the worst, due to thicker stock and the textured surface. When jostled around they leave a cross hatch pattern where the top layer(colored portion) used to be. One of the ones I won, I just happened to have a before and after scan(holdering) and it really did a job on the cabinet, but if one was unaware they might not notice.
