Default 1953 Topps Paintings

Posted By: Dave Hornish

Courtesy of SCD, it turns out Sy Berger had most of them. He gave some away over the years but still has a whopping 117 of them, including an unissued Ashburn. REA will have them (I guess all 117) in their next catalog auction.

Wow!

Default 1953 Topps Paintings

Topps auctioned a few at the Guernsey's sale back in '89 - I believe they were '53 artworks, but I don't have the catalog in front of me. Hefty prices from what I can remember. I had heard there would be some interesting Topps stuff in the REA '09 sale, but 117 pieces of art is insane!
