Stores/Antique Malls in Seattle, WA or Austin, TX

Hey Everyone,

i'm traveling for work to Austin, TX and Seattle, WA next week and was wondering if there are any places out there worth checking out. I'm unfamiliar with both and hopeful there might be atleast one place at each to stop by while out there by myself.

If you have transportation, you might chose to visit the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Has everything from a Lunar Roving Vehicle to a Sputnik to Pre WWI planes to supersonic jet fighters-- all complete and all indoors. It's a bit of a surral experience walking around in a room filled with airplanes. High ceilings.

Forgot, you could also visit Jimmi Henrix's childhood home. It's a boarded up rat infested former crack house (seriously), but it's better than anything in Austin (not seriously).

There are antique malls in Seattle, including one near my home, but nothing to get excited about. There's one in the heart of downtown, which is a nice area for vistors to walk around anyway.

In Austin, there are a few places in the northern part of town, up on Burnet Road. If you'll just be downtown there's not as much of what you're looking for, but Palmer Auditorium hosts a "Citywide Garage Sale" several times a year, so you might look into that.

Also, I recommend Kyoto (on Congress) if you like sushi. And check out the Gutenberg Bible at the Ransom Center (21st and Guadalupe) if you're going to be on the UT campus.

edited to add: Almost forgot, the best dinner I've had in my life was at the Palace Kitchen (on 5th) in Seattle. Anyway, these are two of my favorite American cities; you must have a pretty cool job.
