Does anyone own this card? Does a Cleveland variation exist? How many of each e97 b/w are there...certainly fewer than t206 wagners.

I believe they are two seperate players. Kid Nichols for Cleveland and Simon Nicholls for Philadelphia. I have a lowgrade example of Nicholls which you can see here:

I believe they simply forgot the second "l" in Nicholls....

I'm pretty sure Kid Nichols wasn't in the e97 set...wasn't Fan Craze was Nichols' last appearance on a card? It was always my understanding that the e97 set contains a team variation on the Simon Nichols card, one with Cleveland, the other with Philly. With regards to the original question, I'm really not sure how many b/w's there are of either, although both would obviously be quite rare.

The 2005 SCD lists both the Philly and Cleveland cards as Simon Nichols...

Here is the Philly variation

Its one of the few E97 B&Ws I have left thanks to certain board members who will remain nameless

If you're curious to see some of the others I have or had in my collection, you can see them on my website (shameless plug) http://home.comcast.net/~phlflyer1/baseball/BaseballCards.html
