Big NY Times piece today on card/autograph collector

it has big spread in the print edition and presume you can find it online: guy who has taken his '83 Fleer cards as a kid--and set out to get all 600 of them signed! And only has 99 to go, but with a self-imposed deadline of July 31. One big problem: at least three guys are dead! But he did get Sammy Stewart to sign--from prison. I would guess he has had help of some people on this board...

I grew up with a lot of autograph collectors who worked on sets like this and I admire their patience and hard work.
I always liked Sammy Stewart. In an article below he says he started doing crack in my home town. There's a huge gang presence and drug problem especially on the South side. I recall him getting busted in the late 90's (years after his career was over) with an Mac-10 or something under the seat while trolling the streets early morning for dope. He listed his occupation as MLB player. It was the beginning of a sad tale of addiction & prison.
I wish him well and advise everyone to avoid the South side when in Framingham:

I'm having a lot of trouble finding addresses for players who appeared in the T206 set. It appears that they all died by 1980. If anyone has any signed T206s to trade, please let me know!
