That "Cobb" autograph just doesn't look right either. Hope you can get your money back. Good luck.

Its obviously the same card that he just purchased, not to even mention that looks almost nothing like Cobbs real signature. This guy is really something else thinking he can pass that crap off to serious collectors, hope you can find someway to make this guy regret ever having started this. I know the FBI has a divison that is set up for collectables fraud, maybe a call to the FBI can help. The item mailed crossed state lines right, federal jursidiction right?

Hey dylan!

I havent pursued that route yet but thats very interesting. I am waiting on a report from the postal investigator that I filed with so we'll see.
I think this will be an intersting thing for everyone to watch cause Im gonna set out to see if a ripped off collector can get some justice. I LITERALLY have all possible proof ( with the exception of a letter from him stating he ripped me off). I f I cant get justice from this than literally no collector will be able to.
Ill keep you all posted.

I don't know anything about Cobb autographs, but it's hard to believe they had Sharpies before Cobb passed away in 1961 ...

At least the forger knew that Cobb used green ink. He gets a few points for that.

I should probably clarify that I know this is fake. I made the dumb mistake of buying this from a catalog unseen. For the full story see the other post on fradualent autographs. What I wanted to point out is how I found him buying this card unsigned before he sent it to me. then today, he sent the "signed" card after I threatened him 2 weeks ago with legal action knowing he wasnt gonna send me a real autograph.
