Default 1900s Postcards

I was recently at a garage sale and I picked up these two postcards along with the HM Taylor Wild Bill Donovan. The red tinted one is postmarked 1906, Detroit, Michigan and addressed to the high school baseball coach in Monroe, Michigan. The uniforms seem to say OK Jrs, and the note on the side says "Would like a game with your team for Saturday May 19, 26 or June 2, 7 or 14. Please respond soon. Yours Truly, O.k. Jrs. A.C. F. (Or J) Grosfield - 819 Gr. Boulevard.

The second card is addressed to Mr. Arthur Mitchell, also in Monroe, and is postmarked 1908, Toledo Ohio. The card depicts the De La Salle Base Ball Club - A Hard Combination To Beat. The message on the back says "Compliments of the bunch I am going to try out with. The Orioles are not fast enough for this bunch. Herm[illegible].

Beyond the fact that these are great images, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about either of the teams depicted or had seen these before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Welcome and....

First of all Welcome to Net54baseball.com. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I would be very surprised if anyone does know anything about these 2 cards. There are a ton of amateur and other baseball postcards from the early 1900's that have no real significance besides them looking neat. So, unfortunately I have nothing to add except I do like the little doggie on the one card. I really like mascots and animals mixed in with the teams. Not to go too off track, as I am sure there won't be 400 posts in this thread, here is an animal on a pin I just had to have... . Good luck in your information quest.

Another unidentified team - with dog. Hard to beat a team with a goat.

Goats trump dogs. Just not sure what trumps goats? Maybe pigs?

Default 1900's odd postcards

Have never found even a semi proper thread to share these in before but they are 1900's baseball postcards. No cool goats or pigs but probably qualifies as the most "fruitty".

Cleveland outfielder Jack Graney with Larry, the team's mascot. Larry also is pictured on the Fatima card.

Here is a very strange one to go along with Davids' "fruitty" ones
