picked up an old photo in trade, anyone have any information on the following..

it is a brownish black and white photo of gehrig

on the back it is stamped Thorne Photo
official photographer of_____Yankees in pencil;
Player_____Gehrig in pencil
Position_____ outfield ? written in pencil

also written in pencil died june 3 1941

any help is appreciated!

It's a legimate stamp for such a photo. Don't know what your specific question is, but there's nothing worrisome about your description.

I guess I was asking if this could be real, if Thorne took pictures for the team or for some other source,

I know nothing about photos , so i have no idea what its worth, but I like it, so I am happy, any idea how to date this at least roughly..
