Default Searching for my "Grail" card... Quincy Trouppe. Looking for leads, help and history!

Hi all,

I've been on the search for a certain card ever since @mannybb24 was kind enough to share some photos of his copy with me...

Being the history student that I am, I often gravitate towards lesser known figures and their stories (see my recent thread about Charles Jackson French) and Trouppe and his career in baseball is one such interest of mine. Even though Trouppe is somewhat unknown (I imagine he is better known on here) he has become one of my favorite players in the long and extensive history of the game of baseball. As is with any obscure player, their selection of cards is often few and far between and Trouppe is no different. He does however, have a few cards in the various Toleteros Puerto Rican Winter League sets (I believe 1948-49 is his rookie?) as well as one card in a 1950 Mexican League set from when he played with the Jalisco Charros and also served as the manager. The 1950 card is the one I am after! I also believe that there was a postcard of Trouppe produced in 1941 but I've only seen a scan before... can anyone confirm that the original postcard exists?

I wanted to throw this out here and see if anyone else on the boards has the 1950 card? I also want to ask for anyone who'd like to, to share whatever Trouppe cards (postcards too) they may have! It's always a treat to see cards that are unkown to me or relate to a favorite player of mine! It's a connection to a distant past and is a unique way in which we can view our history, experience it and learn of it and from it.

Thanks in advance! The 1950 card is attached below:

Jake
