Here's my type example-the entire surface is tacky, you can see where some little bits came off and I think there's a small wet sheet transfer just above the glove. Has anyone else had found the white backs to be tacky?

Have done this set 4 ways. White backs, gray backs, undeckled ( mixed backs) and complete set on 2 uncut sheets. I had to look a long time for the last white back I needed, Carlton Fisk. Got it from Steve Werley ( RIP) who helped me with a lot of off beat Topps stuff over the years ( at a price )

Had not noticed the tacky issue Dave. It is one of the few issues where I ended up with a lot of graded cards because that is the way I found them, and never broke them out....as I am usually want to do.

In addition to having 4 Gibsons in the formats listed above I ended up with a 5th one, which I assumed was a fake when I got it since none of my other undeckled cards have the deckling on them

Not baseball, obviously, but in hockey, these were only produced one year in 70-71 by OPC (O-PEE-CHEE) as far as I can tell?

Default White backs

I have 18 of them and have to say quite a few of mine have more of a sticky surface too. Will add I think when you compare them to the gray backs the front look more yellow tint also.

Default Sticky ones

Update
I have had these in top loaders for many years and haven’t looked at them until this post and tried to take them out of the top loaders and the sticky ones are stuck and trying to get them out is just ripping paper off the fronts.so not great news for some of the ones I have.
