I wonder if anyone ever told him about the band-aid card and that it was quickly airbrushed out by Topps, and if so did he have any recollection of why he had the band-aid in spring training of (more than likely) 1972.

Here is mine sans band-aid. My buddies from Detroit invited me on a live FB event so we could take a shot in the honor of Mr. Kaline. One of my favorites growing up...he meant a lot to so many. I'm still bummed Killebrew is no longer with us...those players that were iconic to their playing towns and stayed involved.

Just sad news. Kaline was such a great player and one of the nice guys. He was born in Baltimore where I was from and will be missed.
