Default 1970 Rold Gold - 1972 Kellogg's All Time Baseball Greats s

I'm trying to figure out how Kellogg's was able to release an identical set of cards in 1972 to the one Rold Gold (a Frito Lay brand) released in 1970. Both sets were produced by Visual Panographics, Inc. using their trademarked XOGRAPH process. Neither set identifies Rold Gold or Kellogg's on the cards. The cards are absolutely the same except for the dates and inclusion of "MLB Promo Corp" on the tiny last line of the 1970 Rold Gold card. Kellogg's and Frito Lay (Rold Gold) do not seem to have had a business relationship at that time. Both companies have used the same 3rd party baking company, Roskam Baking Company, and the Kellogg's cards came in Danish Rolls rather than cereal, but I cannot find any evidence that the cards were related too this common link. The copyright info on the cards indicate that the 1970 cards are copyrighted by MLB Promo Corp yet the 1972 cards show the copyright attributed to XOGRAPH.

I can find no explanation why two unrelated companies inserted exactly the same set of 15 cards two years apart. Who designed the cards - XOGRAPH or Frito Lay? And how did Kellogg's get in on the action?

The Kellogg's cards came with a product called "Danish Go-Rounds".

It was basically a Pop-Tart but in tubular form with more filling. Here is the box back:

I know what they were because as a fat boy of 7 I scarfed down quite a few of them and had a partial set of the cards.

Now, as far as the reused set, I suspect that the company that made them had a contractual right to reuse them after a year or two.
