Beckett Vintage Grading & Trimming
Quick question. I noticed an auction on eBay and I had a suspicion the card is trimmed. Is Beckett known to encapsulate trimmed cards? What is their reputation?

Beckett has a good reputation for grading vintage cards...not on par with SGC, but I think trimmed cards have gotten past all the grading companies.

David:
Was it encapsulated as "Authentic" or a numerical grade? |

Its a BVG 3. I don't want to name the card as I do not want to tarnish the guys auction if I am wrong.

Personally, I am suspicious of BVG graded vintage cards for that very reason. Granted many will have stories about this or that grading company and will be very passionate about their distaste for whatever company due to grading errors. In my case, I don't abhor BVG, but I will never buy another BVG card unless I can examine it first hand prior to purchasing it. Getting burned by a trimmed card in a numerically-graded BVG holder once was enough for me.
