Default Heritage Auction Babe Ruth

Did everyone see the Association of Professional Ball Players of America membership card signed by Babe Ruth in the Heritage auction? I was wondering if the player who filled it out, William J. McCahan Jr., was associated with the William McCahan who pitched a no-hitter. The middle initial is different but the home city seems correct.
