Default T3 set completed

I was very excited today to receive my winning lot from REA. It included the T3 Tenney NY and Boston variation that I needed to complete my T3 set. Thanks to several members of the board who helped me along the way with advice about the set and/or selling me some of the cards I needed.

For anyone working on a lower grade T3 set, some of the other cards that were part of the lot I won are posted for sale in the B/S/T section.

Awesome, congrats!! Can you share pics of the set? Probably - hands down - one of the prettiest sets ever made

My set is lower grade, but I will try to post some pictures of some of the nicer cards in it when I have a chance.

Right now, the cards are just in top loaders. Long term, I'm not sure how to display them. Does anyone else who has collected this set have any suggestions?

I think it took around 2 years to complete. Since I was working on a lower grade set, I was able to put it together a lot faster than I expected. I'm glad I picked up a lot of the set quickly in the first year or so before prices started to spike since this summer.

I used to display mine in our library. We've since moved and our new home has a library/den as well, but the kids have taken over that space, so back to the closet safe for now. I'll try and find pictures on my drive. The t3's looked great on shelves next to the classics, fossils and grandpa's pipe collection. There is not a better built or sized card to display on shelves in my opinion.

Wow. It’s such a great looking set. I always thought the Speaker, specifically, was one of the best looking cards out there

Default Da Man!

Wow, congrats Jay!

I guess I didn't realize that the REA lot was going to finish the set for you!

Thank you so much for letting me get a piece for my fledgling set (now up to 35 of the 100) It worked out magnificently.

Maybe someday when I am old , tired and gray, I can come back on the board to share my own completion (too late, I am already as described )

For now...YOU and YOUR SET is/are DA MAN !

Congrats. I have been working on a raw lower grade set for a while now. I’m about half way. Enjoy It.

Finally had some time to take pictures of a lot of the cards. Here are all the HoFers along with the Rhoades which I was lucky to pick up early in the process of working on the set. Some creases and other damage to the borders, but I tried to find cards where the main picture looked good even if the overall card was lower grade.

I completed my set years ago, of course my set is only 8 cards of Detroit players. Originally had a Schmidt Proof card. Since traded the proof card for a Tomlinson Cabinet of Detroit player Hanlon. Replaced the proof with regular card. Quite a feat for you, a complete set.
