I guess they sold singles in some stores, or supplied the 5 pack a day guy all in one shot......

Ben,
Are you going to soak the Waddell to remove the paper on back? You outbid me on it.

I'm particularly pleased with the T206s. I got the whole lot on the last hour at the National at a table that had remarkably not been cleaned out by everyone else from N54. The Evers is the blue BG that goes for IMHO outrageous amounts, the miscut card has the edge of the image of the next card showing, and one of the others has a nice printing mess all over the front--looks like the pressman used the sheet to clean the press after running a red back of some sort then accidentally ran it through with the cards.

Bruce, beautiful Cobb. Looks like it should've graded higher than a 3... no matter, it's still a beauty...

Same w/ nbrazil's Young and Matty... do they have back damage?

Edited to add: As is often said on this forum: "Buy the card, not the holder". I think both of you guys accomplished that.

Zach, the T213 Cobb has a light horizontal wrinkle/crease beginning midway between "Cobb" and the left border. It is actually more noticeable in the scan than in person. The registration and the brightness of the colors are pretty amazing. The card technically and correctly grades VG but, as they say in auction catalog land, "presents at a higher level than the technical grade." One of the nicest T213s I've seen.

High Grade, could you please shorten your name. Over half the page is pushed off the scene because of your name, which means a lot of left to right scrolling, which is really inconvient. You need to shrink you scans too.

Thanks,

Jay

Barry, I've got 8 of the possible 14 baseball Newsboy cabinets now, but it has taken ten years.

Jeff, Nice Johnson. The cagey cop and the vintage water jug add to the charm.

Completion in the real world, anyway: a long time ago I decided to call the set quits when I only needed the big 6. With this Cobb from David Bryan it's done!!

Glad you liked Mr. Tinker, Joe and you're welcome! I think he should be resubmitted or crossed over, it is a beauty.
Harder and harder to find these jewels, here's 5 pretty nice ones, all with the overprinted Collins backs yet!
