Default Grail for my dad

We have been talking about this card for 20 years. I swore to him that we would get it someday (he's a former photographer that also is into antique wood cameras, those big boys haha).

Today was the day. Was very hard not to lose it while he was haha.

I love you, dad.

What a wonderful story. In my opinion the 1869 Red Stockings trade cards and cdvs are among of the most historically significant cards ever produced.

Such a blah Christmas this year with family split up and not able to be together. This brought a little Christmas spirit. Good man, great gift and story! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to all!

Great moment!

As any good son would, I hope you took to opportunity to ask him what the Red Stockings were like to see live

A thing, which may be an immaterial thing to many but is a thing that connects a father and son, is the most valuable thing in the world.

What a great gift, Brent; you did good. Both the 1869 Cincinnati trade card and the CdV are incredible cards, iconic images of one of the all time great teams and also quite rare.

With A card that old i'm sure there are many stories and history to go along with it. Now a new story is attached to that card and forever cemented in its history. Beautiful card and Beautifil story. Congrats!

Brent, I was so moved by your post & pix. Wanting something for 20 years, and then to have your son hunt it down to present it to you is ... priceless. I got teary-eyed, and stayed that way reading the responses you've received. Well done, way to go!, slap on the back, and I'm so proud of you! I'm very happy for both of you! Snapping a photo of this special occasion is something that will always make you smile, and cry sometimes, when you go back to savor your precious memory.

Thank you most sincerely for sharing your special moment with us. The continued best to you, bro.
