Default Any antique jockstrap experts out there?

Picked up this Draper Maynard athletic supporter with some catchers gear. Wondering about collectibility and value. I am sure I’ve had someone ask me if I had any of these , but don’t remember who and this is the first one I’ve had. I’ll go ahead and beat people to the punch on value: it’s priceless if your going to take a baseball to the nuts.

What is it made out of? Iron? Steel? Pewter? Lead? Looks like it could probably stop a bullet if need be.....

I think it’s lead. It would be a good way to protect your boys if you work in a nuclear plant.

Are you sure it's old? Did it pass your sniff test?
