Default REA winners

Since anyone who stayed up is probably still asleep, I will start the thread for those to show off their winnings. I went to bed winning one and I won it. I won a nice group of t206's including a higher grade Shag that I needed. Most others will be sold off, but I thought it ended at a decent price.

Won (2). Lost out on a couple more after 1:00am. I thought there were lots of very nice, just not rare, cards that went for very reasonable prices (even with the premium included).

Thanks! Hopefully the image looks as good in person. If so, it will go great with the McPhee I picked up earlier in the week.

I picked up two items, the M101-1 Wagner and the 1894 Bezt Cabinet - Baltimore Orioles. Sorry, I'm not awake enough yet to post scans since I stayed up until 4:00am EST waiting for the auction to end.

Matt, Enjoy the Jackson Standard Biscuit I miss it already. I only won the T5 Baker I lost the T5 Collins on a fairly late overtime bid. Overall I was happy with how my consignments did. though none of mine went for more then I felt they were worth, like sometimes happens in Rob's auctions.

I got nuttin'.

There was one lot that I struggled with my decision of 'to bid or not to bid'.... but I let it go. Then there were two others that I wanted and probably would have continued to bid..... but, I fell asleep.

not my best perforomance

Mark,
You got a great deal on the Traynor bat. He's super rare, especially in an H&B.

Matt
Thanks. Having met Traynor a couple of times when I was a kid, I'm especially happy to add this one to the collection. You picked up a great looking bat that I haven't seen much at auction. It looked to me that the bat prices were relatively low across the board. As for my bat, I am guessing that some of the dealers who have been outbidding me for Traynor bats over the last four or five years just sat this one out.

Default I got one!

Bob, I nearly ran you on that Bowman set but decided not to bid late yesterday; nice pick-up!

I got the 1952 Topps Dom DiMaggio progressive proof run of 6 cards. I just thought it was really interesting and unique.

I was in awe of that '52 Mantle. That has the best centering and all around clarity of any Mantle I can remember. If I were going to have one that exact one would be it. Absolutely great card and for some strange reason one of my favorite in the auction (I just don't/can't collect everything). I kept going back and looking at it and didn't even have an interest in bidding on it. nice pick up. (maybe it's because I am picky on centering and those rarely are centered well)

Nice pick up Richard. I went to 8K and was not going to 9K. Figured the way it was going someone wanted it more than I did. I kept getting those outbid notices from 4500 all the way up.

Default Hey Marty Check this out...

Thanks Marty.. yea I thought that ball would get up to 9-10K.. so for 6500 I really feel it was a great deal....A funny story behind the bidding on the ball.. I was at the yankee game yesterday and the new stadium has a museum with a team signed ball from all 26 championship years... I was staring at these amazing balls from the 20's and 30's with Ruth and Gehrig, when I got the email notice on my phone that I had been out bid at 6000... so I just said screw it... they looked so nice behind that 6 inch glass at the museum.. so I place my bid that ended up winning the auction...from my phone while still in the museum

I only know of one babe ruth special ball so if you have an auto on of Babe on one of those balls then we share that in common.. was it a team signed ball or just Babe on it?... I would love to see a pic..
