New Dick Perez movie, baseball cards

Just announced today, there will a movie about Dick Perez. Filmmaker is Marq Evans.

Some cool baseball cards and artwork as part of the Kickstarter. Set checklist covers all eras from Jim O’Rourke to J-Rod.

I still remember when the first set of Diamond Kings came out with the 1982 Donruss cards. The OG inserts. Every insert since then pales in comparison.

The Kickstarter disallows certain changes after launch, but Marq (filmmaker) was able to create an “add-on” reward with more books. By adding onto a $25 pledge you will get books for same total price as before.

It wont allow me to add onto the $25 reward. The only way I can add on is if I buy the Ground Rule Double or anything higher.

I wish the Perez-Steele postcards would make a comeback. Initially, I was not real high on the cards, preferring baseballs and photographs. I had Maz sign one for a project I was thinking about and started getting other postcards signed. I missed getting Mantle and other hall of fame players by initially sleeping on the postcards. The postcards are a great medium for autographs.

If you hustle you can scoop up the books straight up with no add-on. One is currently available.

UPDATE: Campaign has met its $30K Kickstarter goal so the film, cards, etc are a go!!

And as a bonus, if it hits stretch goal of $40K this 12 x 16 Dick Perez ORIGINAL of Aaron Judge will go to a lucky supporter.

I got an email update today from the Kickstarter page that the cards have just been shipped, so they should arrive any day now.
