Default 1933 & 1934 Goudey Attic Find

The grandchildren of a former Goudey employee opened a safe in his attic and found 150+ cards from 1933 and 1934, including two 1933 Ruths, a 1933 Gehrig, 2 1934 Gehrig, and TWO of the 1933 Lajoie.

Video of the cards after being prepped for grading by SGC can be found here:

Is the wait at PSA too long?

If the video hadn't been posted by Heritage, I would have thought they were fake.

What a cool find. I'd be happy to find just one Lajoie in an attic. Hell, I'd be happy to find a T42 common in my attic...

They’ll probably come back in SGC A slabs with “evidence of trimming.”

Let's be serious... where is the video when they open up that safe? Don't tell me no one has access to a phone to record this given there are thousands of videos out there opening up old safes.

So.. the employee was able to keep two Lajoie that were supposed to be by redemption only. That pretty much confirm how many logoman 1/1 employees can have for their collections nowaday.

Why SGC? Check out last night's Memory Lane PSA Goudey prices.

Turn around time from PSA is too slow? Also everyone is saying it is so tough to get high grades from PSA now??

In fact, it was a mistake those cards got into Heritage's hand to begin with. If they were in Goldin's hand they would get better grades from PSA.

I assume you are sarcastic here. Somehow I think for two Lajoies and Ruths and with Heritage as submitter, PSA would do expedited grading.

Dunno why not PSA but presently both are grading pretty tough, from what I am hearing. Anyway, Heritage prefers SGC over PSA for all of their grading.
