1993 Upper Deck Derek Jeter Rookie
Can any one tell me it this Jeter Rookie is the Gold Hologram. I am color blind and I sent it to HGA to be graded and they don't put it on the label if its gold or not? I Did send them a Emil and they said its looks like it is? See their message below! But looks like it is don't say for sure!
PS: The card will be for sale once I figure out if it a Gold Hologram or not. Thanks Sam I would say Gold by the looks of it. If there is anything else i can do, please let me know! Hybrid Grading Last edited by mordecaibrown1; 10-02-2021 at 05:02 PM. |

I have a gold and a bunch of base -- even held side by side it's damn near impossible to tell the difference. I wish I could help more but you're not alone here!

Ok Thanks. Looks like PSA is the only one to indicate Gold or not?
Thanks, Sam |

Here's my gold (left) and silver side by side. There is the slightest difference under a bright light.

I cannot see any difference between the two of them.

Ok thanks by looking at your images seams like the one I have looks closer to the one on your left? When I tilt the card back and forth seam to have some gold in it but again I am color blind?

(I personally think it's a silly parallel but was a bit of a Jeter completionist for a while so I couldn't turn it down!) |

You have to look at the holograms at an angle to tell the difference, and they should appear either completely silver or completely gold.
Here is a silver holo Jeter at an angle: Here is a gold holo Jeter along with a gold holo griffey for comparison: Jeter silver & gold side by side: Hope that helps! Last edited by classicjay17; 10-13-2021 at 04:18 PM. |

OK I did look at it at an angle and at the angle as I tilt it slightly it changes form gold to silver? Again I am color blind I will have my wife look at it when she gets home. But I do see what I believe to be the color changing form gold to silver at a angle. Also when it looks silver there is no lettering on the Hologram when it looks gold I see Upper Deck lettering

If you want to post a pic at an angle (when it’s solid in color with no lettering) it should be apparent which one it is… |

+1 when holo is solid is when you can see the difference.
