Default FS: 1866 Harpers Woodcut of Brooklyn Atlantics & Philadelphia A's (INC Lipman Pike)

Up for sale here is a beautiful 1866 Harpers woodcut of the Brooklyn Atlantics and Philadelphia Athletics. This woodcut came from the issue dated 1866There is a caption on another page (which is included) noting the following:

"these clubs playued a very interesting match game in brooklyn on Monday october 15 which resulted in a victory for the atlantics who scored 27 against 17. the club is thus far the champion baseball club in america.

The part that I think is particularly cool about this wood cut is that it contains Lipman Pike "Front and Center" who was the 1st Jewish baseball player, the 1st player to officially accept money for play and lastly the only player to hit 6 homers in a game (against Philly in a 67-25 drubbing)

Lot of history in this piece...

This piece has been wonderfully framed and matted... the photo is matted out to 10"x14" opening and is housed in a 16"x20" Frame...

This is a large piece that will make a wonderful addition to any collection....

Looking for $150 shipped...

Will also accept trade for lowgrade pre 20's hofers or interesting hof autographed stuff...

So, there always seems to be a circular flow when it comes to memorabilia...

I sold this one to a friend and got it back in trade this weekend..

the pictures don't do it justice, but a very cool piece...

Looking for $100 pp gift shipped on the Framed and matted Harpers weekly
