We know how home shopping ended up for grandma's buying cards for investments for their grandkids. History repeats itself

Brentsy could offer live weekly seminars on various "restoration" techniques like recoloring, trimming, chemical whitening, and the like. And a two-hour special on "market pushing." Asset management, as it were. I'd find that more interesting than watching Kenny, honestly.

That would only be offered as a PPV option.

This thread reminds me of the show roast. If only Don Rickles was still with us. Agreed any kind of positive hobby exposure is good. Look at the show Pickers and storage wars. It’s all about the enticiapation of striking it rich with a “find”.

Exposure isn’t good for collectors if it drives up prices even further. There are a lot of people in this hobby for the joy of collecting, not for monetary gain. There are a lot guys already at the point where they’d have to sell something in order to afford something else and that’s not a fun place to be.

It's the new reality...most of us can't afford every card we want. In a way it kinda sucks...but in reality this is the way most hobbies are. Only those with the greatest means can have it all?
