Default Slightly O/T Game used bat question

Hello, I just have a quick question as I know nothing about game used items. I recently found a bat at a local antique store of Don Mossi. I haven't purchased the bat and don't know for sure if it is a gamer? It has S100 on the knob and I do know that pitcher bats in generel are somewhat rare I believe. Even if not a gamer I'm wondering if this would be worth picking up as they are only asking $50 for it? I am currently awaiting membership to gameuseduniverse.com so am unable to post the question on their site just yet. Thanks for any and all help provided. Brandon

That is likely a gamer. First, the model # is for a pro-model, and secondly, they didn't produce store model bats for pitchers (for obvious reasons). I don't know the market for big eared Mossi, but for $50 you can't go wrong.

I agree. I sold a game model bat of a minor league pitcher from the 1950s for 60.00, so I assume a better known player will sell for more. I hope you get it.

Thanks Mike and Alan...I appreciate the help. Wish it was someone a little more famous than "The Sphinx" but still a nice rare find. Headed to pick it up.
