Default Playoffs

Texas O St game was pretty much a slugfest as well. After the 1’st to O St possessions(man did that 15 yard P F derail Bucks) thought here we go another blowout. Nope, Texas survived mainly because of self inflicted O St mistakes. Wild finish was really thinking O T. Side note ND should be absolutely swimming in NIL money for years to come. Since they’re an independent and keep 100% of their CFP payouts just guessing this year’s run at around 40-50 million. Haven’t checked yet, O St. -4.5 ?

Ohio state beat Texas in there own backyard with both teams defenses playing an amazing game with jack sawyer being the man of the minute with that strip sack and score. ND vs penn state was another amazing game but penn state sh!t the bed with those blown coverages

That wouldn't be the first time a player managed to force his way onto a team he wanted to play for. Didn't John Elway do that 40 years ago after the Colts drafted him and eventually traded him to Denver?

Same for Eli Manning a couple of decades later.

Well as an ND fan game played out pretty much how I feared. O St offense way to deep and fast for ND but worse, their defense COMPLETELY controlled the line of scrimmage. For the hell if it final top 5
O State
Texas
ND
Penn St
Georgia/Oregon.

Question

Interesting these Ohio State Buckeyes. Are there any other teams in U.S. college sports named after a form of vegetation?

The Toronto Maple Leafs hold that distinction when it comes to major league sports in North America.
