1980-1987 SSPC HOF set
Can anyone explain to me how the 1980-1987 SSPC HOF set was sold after 1980. Were complete sets sold in 1984 which included the inductees from 1981-1984 or did they just sell the new inductees only. I have the same question for the 1986 update which included the 1985-1986 inductees as well as the 1987 update which included the 1987 inductees. I also have seen card collecting kits sold by CMC in the late 80’s which includes cards from this set. Can anyone confirm that these cards in the kits are the source of the ‘MLB logo’ variations? In addition, I have read the first 10,000 sets were printed with ‘1st PRINTING’ notation. However, there seem to be far more of these on ebay than without ‘1St PRINTING’ notation. Were versions from later years also printed with that notation?
