Default T210 Printing Error

What's goin on here? You can see the diagonal shape of another card along the top. Any ideas? Maybe just misaligned when they applied that top layer of gloss?

My guess is: "exposure"

this card was exposed to something (liquid, sunlight, other) with another card laying on top of it, there by having an effect on part of your card.

Hey Rob,
Erick could be right... Or the card may not have gotten a full coat of gloss. I have several T210's that never received the coat of "gloss" that appears on the surface of most of the cards. I'll post some scans when I get a chance. Be well Brian

Erick,

A lot of T210s have a gloss added to them during printing. These are not from exposure. The area that is yellowed on this card is glossy. The whiter area is smooth.

Rob

Edited to respond to Brian:

Hey Brian,
Yeah, many of mine have gloss and some don't have gloss, but don't have any others half and half.

I would bet exposure also. You can see the line left from something setting on top of it for many many years. With my horibble photo shop I but a black line outside the area.

I see what you guys are saying now. Yeah, totally could be that another card was sitting on top of it and removed the gloss. Makes sense.

Just hadn't noticed the gloss removed on a T210 before in one area.

I have seen a handful of these cards and have 1 example. I think it is an incomplete glossy application that caused the two tone effect. Ill post mine when I get home from work tonight! Either way nice card im a buyer if its for sale

Hey Rob,
Here's one that I have scanned.... I have found a wide range in the amount of gloss on T210's, some have none and some have really heavy coatings. Be well Brian

Here's mine with about half gloss. It just didn't get the rest of it, the batch I bought was from the same collection and this was the only one. I really should have bought more of them.
