well, I finally had a good, busy week of buying and trading last week, not my normal $20 of pure junk from eBay. I was able to pick up the following cards, some with cash, some at the expense of trading away many of caramel cards.

e107 Sheckard
e104-3 3 different
1915 CJ O'Niell
e286 Ju Ju Drum Doyle
e95 Devlin
e96 Murray
e90-1 Leach, Phelps and Thomas
15 m101-5s with Famous & Barr backs and Lester O'Brien's named stamped on the back, the same stamp that is on the back of the Thorpe card I own

Now I have to be a good boy and start saving up for the National

Jay

About the National: I've been reliably informed that the kind of stuff I'm looking for will be readily available--at 150% markuo.

Please, no more emails about the e104-3s. I don't feel like revealing which cards they are and have no desire to part with them.

Crappy week here. Everyone had their snipers set beyond what I perceive card values to be. It is astounding how caramel cards have taken off, even in low conditions if they are graded...

Well Dan: I do know what a e125 is, although Ive never seen more than a scan of one; but I have to admit that your n272 acquisition doesn't sound familiar.

Any chance for a scan of these?

I recently picked up two cards which I am quite happy with. But of course, they are not in this league.

Have fun.

I'd like to see what an N272 looks like, especially since it's Crawford, one of favorite players.

E79 red back boxers

Spencer Tracy, Bud Abbott and Clark Gable Exhibit cards

Multiple unopened packs of 1960s Exhibit cowboy cards

1924 Exhibit sports champions Yakima Canutt (rodeo): From the set with the Babe Ruth that is misidentified as a 1932 issue in the SCD big book. Movie fans will know Canutt's work from virtually any western you have ever seen. He was a silent film star stuntman who created many film stunts with horses, including the ones where the rider rides on the side of the horse and shoots under it and the runaway stage coach trick where someone comes down from the stage coach to straddle the horse team and bring them under control.

Another 23 cards for my Leaf Good Guys and Bad Guys set

Six 1933 Indian Gum cards: Wild Bill Hickok, Jim Bowie, Kit Carson, Davie Crockett, Daniel Boone and General Custer.

T206 Wallace portrait and Wheat (had to throw these in so the mind police don't get freaked over the non-baseball card nature of this post )

Oh, don't know if I mentioned this before, but I finally got my favorite 19th century baseball figure in N172--von Der Ahe. Talk about contributors to the game--I owe at least five pounds to his innovations!

my error, the back sticker on the Crawford says I-272 Draper Maynard.

Crawford is endorsing a glove, pretty neat pc.

yes Julie, I recieved the Bres -Huggins-Cicotte double fold....very rare , they are all in spotted ties and drinking a beer , celebrating Cicotte going to Chicago ...
imagine that !....you are being silly.

I only listed the main players on the T201's , Bres - Huggy Cicotte- Jennings-

oh ...Summers is on the Jennings cards for enquiring minds.

Gilbert the E-125 Byrnes can be seen on Mike Wheats site and I do have the scan to forward of the Leach with a Fred Clark, the Clark wasnt in the budget this week.
I can get anyone the guys ebay name for the Clark if interested.

Gilbert, if you want to see the Leach, send me your email ,Iwill forward it.

see ya's
-Dan

and then I looked at the "Classic Baseball cards" book (No mean feat!). and saw the Breshnahan was on the back of Huggins... How is a non-T201 collector supposed to recognaize "bres--huggy"?

Recent acquisition, but not this week:

I did pick up these as part of a lot off ebay. They're about 3" x 5" and feature Dizzy Dean and Jimmy Fox on the covers:

Picked up this team cabinet photo this week. The photo came from Blanchards, a photographer in Monpelier, VT. The cool thing is that I have an old cabinet from the same photographer.

They do appear to be the same guy. I have looked at these close up and he has an unusual ear structure which is evident in both photos. I also used photoshop and copied the his hat and placed it on his head in the group photo and the resemblance was uncanny. Who knows, maybe the jersey is the same too with a different tie.
