Default Don't leave home without it!

I just started doing this a few months ago, wondering if anyone else does the same thing.

When I mention to a family member or a coworker that I've started getting into pre-war cards, they usually don't know what I'm talking about or don't understand the history.

So, I snuck one of my more....well-loved....T206 examples into my wallet. One that's already been around the block a few times and can put on a few more miles. Initial report is that it's held up fairly well while kept between my drivers license and Visa card.

Anyone else actively carry around an example to show to people who may not know about or understand the hobby?

In the early seventies I had a 33 goudey Ruth glued inside the lid of my joint, er, I mean...."cigarette" case. Now long gone.
I remember reading that Bob Costas carries around a 58 topps mantle allstar in his wallet. david.

I always keep a few pictures on my smart phone and always take pictures of new additions. Some friends, co-workers, and family show a little interest but not too much. None of my family members were ever collectors of anything. My mother always wondered where I got the collecting gene since I started at 3 years old noticing different numbers on pennies and decided to see how many different ones I could find.
