I liked this same concept so much from the baseball section so here goes.....

Nice cards Phil! Those are some of the most iconic cards in the football hobby for sure.

I collect all things football so I guess by default that means I'm a HOF rookie collector ;-) But also REALLY like pre-rookie cards as they are less mainstream and can be a challenge to find in any grade depending on how old they are. Also very much dislike that some HOFers rookie cards are tribute cards from after their playing days,. That just makes absolutely no sense to me if even odd-ball cards from their playing days were made.

I agree with you Jeff, I like the oddball pre-rookies as well. Many I would even consider legitimate rookie cards, although not as mainstream as their Topps counterparts. This also avoids the post-playing career "rookie cards"
