The theory is that when all the E sets from E90-1 to E98 were issued, he was still not a great pitcher and just didn't make the cut in a small 25 or 30 card set. He didn't even make the cut in a 120 card set. Had they been issued a couple of years later, his chances would have greatly improved. |
