Default When make sense to authenticate?

Looking for advice from experienced autograph Collectors. I’m not an autograph collector myself but I have what I believe is an authentic Joe DiMaggio signed photograph.

I believe the fee to authenticate by JSA is $75.

I’m trying to do the math here – what do you folks believe an authenticated DiMaggio signed photograph would be valued at roughly?

I’ve looked at sold prices on eBay and there seems to be quite a range.

Any advice on this?

Thx

Jeff

Are you planning on keeping it?

There are some great people on here who can tell you immediately if it is legit (post in the autographs section).

I have bought a few signatures for my personal collection only, and I have had great assistance from the Net54 crew.

Depends on what it is he signed and if/when you plan on selling it. Personally, If I was going to keep it for awhile, I'd just check with the people here and see. At the point you want to sell, you can try to sell on the B/S/T board first. You can always get it authenticated later if it doesn't sell.
