Default Advice re: Postal insurance post

In my humble opinion, forget shipper insurance. Talk to your insurance agent and cover these issues under your umbrella policy. Not only will you eliminate your risk, you can sell, and mention to prospective buyers that you will be responsible for lost or damaged shipments. Of course get the appropriate shipper delivery verification provisions, etc.

Default Advice re: Postal insurance post

Posted By: Lee Behrens

I brought the question aboout self insuring and alot people didn't like the idea and thought I was trying to ripoff people. I have NEVER used the insurance money and not insured but for the cost and the hassle you have to go thru if there is a problem it sure would be easier to self insure and just send them the money.
