Default T205s in REA encore auction

Any thoughts on the prices of T205s in REA last night? They had almost the complete set, with a number of multiples, but comparing it to Memory Lane's set break last month, the prices seemed much weaker. Granted, not as many 6s, but even the few 6s didn't go as high, and the 5s were generally much lower. Also, a huge gap between PSA and SGC - SGC 5s generally sold for less than PSA 4s. Was this auction just overlooked because it wasn't a catalogue auction, is Memory Lane attracting more registry types/deep pockets than REA these days, or is it just a product of declining market sentiment?

I think a flood of inventory. Everyone seems to be selling tobacco right now, in auctions and online. Just too much in the market.

Yeah, just overload I think. But I won two and didn’t have to chase, I should have pursued more but auction fatigue. Also I moved and I just wasn’t sure if I had updated my checklist recently so I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been. Given it was an encore, maybe others not as focused on these lots, some good opportunities.

Default Upgraded a T205

I was thrilled to get one of the tougher T205s in the REA auction last night for an awesome price. I'll post it when I have it in hand.
