George Close's card offering of 1911 is one of my favorite sets, the imagery, quality of the cardstock, and printing puts the set well above many sets of the era. And you can't beat the color saturation. A Candy card set should look like a bowl of lifesavers and with 7 different background colors the E94 hits all the marks.

Here's some Reds.

I’m an e93 collector and that’s mostly because I can’t afford e94. E94 are the best looking cards in the hobby in my humble opinion.

It only now dawned on me that "Hughie" Jennings is full "Eee-Yah" in his card. Way cool!

The "floating ball" Laj is such a unique image and one of my favorites, there were some floating ball images pre 1900 but I'm not sure how many were post 1900, I'd be interested to see any examples during dead ball. Of course nothing can beat the great Gus Zernial of 1952.

There's also the t201 lajoie with similar pose. I'm sure they nailed the balls to zernials bat for the 52' image!!!!!!

I love the e94 lajoie!!!!!

I recently saw the original b/w photo for this, and it appears in the photo that they used clear tape to make those balls stick to the bat.

Great cards everyone. E94 cards have always been tougher to come by and more expensive than other caramel cards, so I have never had much from this set. I believe tbob is another resident expert on this set.

For fun, here is my mystery E94-esque ghost of John McGraw card. Anson from Prewarcards.com has written a couple of articles on his site about this one and a similar Murray that he has:
