Default N173 Redemption question - Gleason

I've been reviewing various Redemption Lists for Old Judge Cabinets and have a question. There are some, like the 1889 iteration recently on the BST that list Gleason being available under the Baltimore team (middle row, last entry under Balitmore). This is curious to me as the Old Judge bible lists neither of the two Gleasons (Kid and Will) as having any N172's affiliated with Baltimore. What's more, to my knowledge, no Gleason played for Baltimore until Kid Gleason joined the amazing OldOriole team in 1895 - well after the Old Judges came out.

What am I missing? How could a Gleason be listed as an Old Judge Redemption for Baltimore?

Thanks in advance, Dave

Sorry don’t have answer for you I saw a Gleason for the Athletes in the book, no Baltimore. Probably a printing mistake. Maybe Jay or Joe will have better answer.

The identical redemption list depicted in the Old Judge book does not include the Gleason line, suggesting it was a stray line of type deleted once noted. I also notice several other names deleted, including Brennan (Athletics), Tebeau and Beard (Cincinnati).

Dave-Thanks for bringing this up. I have two copies of the list, and it turns out one of each variety. I never realized that the list was corrected. As for your question, Gleason never had a Baltimore card so it was a mistake.

Default Thanks!

Thank you for the explanation, that makes the most sense. The many intricacies of the Old Judges continue to captivate me.
