Default Sal the Barber Maglie 1956 No-hitter

Maglie came over from the dark side (the NY Giants), and was a major factor in the Brooklyn Dodgers winning the pennant in 1956. In the radio recap of the no-hitter, Vin Scully made it perfectly clear that Maglie had “repaid all the grief and all the sorrow he has brought to the Brooklyn borough.”

Quite a line-up that day for the Dodgers, with 5 HOF'ers, plus Gilliam, Furillo, and Amoros (the hero of game 7 of the 1955 WS), plus Maglie.

Jeff, the scrapbook paper came off the backs (grudgingly), just leaving some discoloring from the glue. I was a little worried I would lose the printed ground rules on the back of the Dodgers card, but it came out pretty well. Much better, thanks for the tips.

Rick

Default Baltimore Orioles

Orioles undated lineup card. Think it’s Earl’s writing and would guess from 1972. Any experts that could tell me what game this is from?

Hi Mark:

Nice lineup card (that's Earl handwriting for sure). I think it's from '72 as well and what I would do would be to go to baseball reference & look at the box scores of Cuellar's game logs that season & check out the lineups (and substitutions) for each one to find the match.....

If you need help, lmk!

Bill

Thanks Bill!

I believe it matches up to a game on 8-3-72 to the lineup card.
