Default w600 advertisement...anyone seen one of these before

It has seen better days, but it's going to look great once it's framed. I don't collect w600s or search for them very often, so I have no idea if this advertisement page is common, or scarce. Just thought some people might enjoy seeing it, and I'd love to learn anything you guys might know about similar ads.

It's on the inside cover of a big Mear's Tailors hardcover catalog. I acquired the front cover all by itself.

Default W600

Wow, very cool Luke! I found it interesting that a lot of the w600 portraits are matching to the t206 ones, but the Matty is different. Maybe a few others as well. Without them being colorized, it’s hard to know for sure

Even though it features Sporting Life portraits, this might be a 1909 M101-3 Sporting New advertisement.

Wow, what a piece! Have you thought about restoration?

Thanks Hank! It crossed my mind, but I don't really know anything about restoration. I'd love to hear thoughts from anyone who knows about it.

Without knowing more I was leaning against it because it's probably very expensive, and I enjoy the piece as it is. On the other hand, it is deteriorating, and if restoration could save it, that's worth looking into.

I had a question about size. The whole page is about 16 inches by 21 inches. And the "cards" measure just shy of 3 inches by 4 inches.

Kevin, can you elaborate more? I'm not sure why M101-3 would be considered.

Sorry, I meant that it is possibly associated with the M101-2 Sporting News issue since they used the advertised Van Oyen image as a supplement to their newspaper.

I assumed that the picture that they were offering to mail the customer was just the Van Oyen image of Cobb and Wagner, but it may have been the entire print including the Sporting Life portraits.

I have never seen anything like this before. Hoping that Scott Brockelman can chime in with his thoughts.

I have seen many sporting life Ad's before but not this. I do agree it is not a W600 ad as it specifically says ask dealer to send a copy of the Cobb / Wagner photo.
Is there a date on the Mears catalog? The date of the catalog might help tie down if the M101-2 photo is what is referanced in the ad.
I belive the first ad for W600's was in August 1902 and listed 5 cards. Given the date of the photo is Fall 1909 it would be late in the W600 run, but the photos around the edges clearly mimic W600's

Not sure what it is, but I do not think it is from Sporting Life as they would have had you order directly from them.
