Cards you once owned ALTERED after you sold them
This is the only card I once owned that I know for sure was altered after I sold it. Fall 2017 REA auction...e121 babe ruth graded 4 MK. I purchased this card from one of y'all here on the bst at one time. The pen mark...and the qualifier has since been removed from the back.
Sorry I don't have the after image. Lets see your cards that were altered/enhanced/restored after you sold them. Last edited by ullmandds; 06-09-2021 at 08:06 AM. |

Ooh! Excellent idea for a thread. I don't know of any that I've had that were altered, but I do recall selling a collection to someone many years ago that had some early 80s rookies in them. I told the person there were no COAs, so I couldn't guarantee authenticity.
After he bought them, he posted them for sale noting that he got them personally signed at a card show in the mid 80s. I called him out on it, and that was that.

I once owned and over sized 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan RC that was a solid NM. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in a PSA 9 or 10 holder today.
