Default Is Elwood “Woody” Scharf still alive?

I was wondering if anyone knows if Woody Scharf is still alive? Thought I saw an obit from 2012 but was sure? Thanks. - Ryan

Kindly disregard that last post, I was trying to respond to another comment and somehow, it ended up on mine. Sorry about that but I'm kinda ticked (as you can tell) about someone cutting up a card because they dont like the person on it.

The death age of 92 is correct since there are older articles about 1933 Goudey saying he bought them at age 13. 1920-2012.

Nice man. He helped me with my research when I was just a pup...

Default Woody

Woody was a great friend and mentor starting back in the 70's and beyond. I visited him at his house a few times after we met at some of the early shows in Detroit, Cincinnati and Cleveland.

He wife Ann became my "auntie" because we spent so much time together.

I am proud to say I have all of Woody's voluminous notebooks and records regarding Exhibit cards.
